Perpetual (e)Motion (2006)  Set to music by Santana, this series of dances uses extensive partnering to look at energy, emotion, and the mind/body connection.  Original Cast:  Hoy, Huckabee, Jones, Kensinger, J. Miller, Osborne, Park, Russo.
The View From Here (2006)  Inspired by award-winning poet Erin Murphy, dancers created a trio that presents multiple points-of-view.  Whether seen as different individuals or different life stages of the same person, the dance posits a central theme of self-interest and isolation.  Original Cast:  Bratt, Huckabee, Osborne.
[Insert Here] (2006)  A challenge to the choreographer and the dancers, this piece is an exercise in pure rhythmic movement – sometimes independent, sometimes in conversation, always with an underlying metronymic beat.  Original cast:  Huckabee, J. Miller, Osborne, Park, Russo.

The Reluctant Mambo (2006)  A collaborative venture with musicians Chuck Knepper and Zupe. The upbeat and carefree Latin tempo of the music collides with the seriousness of the theme.  Together they work to raise the question – what lies beneath the facades of everyday life?  Original cast:  Hoy, Huckabee, Kensinger, J. Miller, Osborne, Park, Russo.
Urban Legend (2005)  Originally conceived as a working piece for presentation at the “Glory Days:  A Bruce Springsteen Symposium.” This two-part performance explores themes of isolation and community in the urban landscape.  Urban Legend I is designed for an outdoor setting, and was performed beside the railroad tracks in downtown Altoona.  Urban Legend II is a concert piece using photo montage to illicit a sense of place.  Original cast:  Hoy, Huckabee, J. Miller, Park, Osborne.

Servello Sketches (2005)  In 2004, local artist Joe Servello asked if he could sketch Allied Motion’s dancers in rehearsal for a project he was developing.  When he gave us some of his sketches later in the year, they became the inspiration for this piece.  It was a unique circular collaboration:  our dances inspiring his drawing, inspiring a new set of movement entirely unlike the original.  Original cast:  Cauthon, Hoy, J. Miller, Park, Osborne, Weismer.
Patsy (2004)  Five solos explore Patsy Cline’s lovelorn songs, but not without a touch of humor, and, of course, mannequins.  “You Made Me Love You,” “Crazy,” “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” “I Fall to Pieces,” and “Gotta Lot of Rhythm in My Soul.”  Original Cast:  Hoy, Osborne, J. Miller, Park, Smith.

Echoes (2004)  A trio of musicians joined dancers onstage for a look at movement as music.  Original Cast:  Cauthon, Hoy, Huckabee, Osborne, J. Miller, Park, Smith.
Gentle Vistas (2004)  A pastoral landscape and movements evoking its non-human inhabitants:  where (and when) is this gentle vista?  Original cast:  Hoy, Osborne, A. Miller, J. Miller, Park, Smith, Weismer.  Click here for more photos.

Animated (2004)  An evolutionary tale, where the rocks give birth, and the community assists its newest members to become fully human.  Original cast:  Huckabee (soloist) with Hoy, J. Miller, Osborne, and Smith (instrumentalists).
P.S. (2003)  With words layered on music, this piece travels the darker side of hope lost. Original cast:  Huckabee.
Hope Enduring (2002)  Music from the latter four decades of the 20th century underscores this journey back to hope from devastation, both personal and global.  Collaborating artists provided photo projections and sculptural costumes. Click here for more photos.
Rail Ties (1999) An evening length piece mapping the history of Altoona and the industry that built it:  the railroad.  Substantially reworked in 2003, this piece features video, slides, dance, spoken word and interactive set plus special guest “extras” drawn from the community and the Children Dance Theater Project.  2003 Cast:  Hoy, Huckabee, A. Miller, B. Miller, J. Miller, Osborne, Park, Smith, Weismer.  Click here for more photos.
Behind the Noise, There is Silence (1999)  Abstract and moody, this piece uses music by Meredith Monk as a counterpoint to an exploration of bodies moving quietly (?) in space.  2004 cast:  Hoy, J. Miller, Osborne, Park, Smith, Weismer.
Who Won the Human Race? (1997)  Three eras of music lay the groundwork for this look at attitudes towards war.  2006 Cast:  Hoy, J. Miller, Osborne, Park.

Under the Mushroom (1991)  Anxiety and alienation underpin this duet/double solo.  This piece was originally choreographed for the Delaware Theatre Company December.  2005 cast:  B. Miller, J. Miller.
